Hi, my name is Cookie and I'd like to blog about healthy living.
Healthy living is different for everybody; for me it's been a combination of proper nutrition and exercise. I do not follow a prescribed diet because once the word 'diet' comes into play it makes me crave everything the diet prohibits. The way I eat comes from my mother, who didn't follow a diet but who didn't cook unhealthily. Again, the diet you follow is particular to you... only you can determine what works for you.
For example, many diets today restrict the use of avocado, but in my experience an avocado a day has not been detrimental.
The key is to do what works for you. To me, a healthy life involves sensible eating habits and moderate exercise work the best. What do you think? What works for you?

Hi Cookie,
ReplyDeleteGood blog... I think I'll start eating avocado, not cookies. Everything works for me... cookies, chocolates, cakes... Now my stomach is bulging. (LOS)
It sounds like you enjoy some sweetness in your life. Check out this recipe for a healthy snack: http://www.avocadorecipes.net/no-sugar-chocolate-avocado-mousse.html - It contains all the goodness of both avocados and chocolate.
DeleteI had an avocado for dinner last night!
ReplyDeleteAll habits (including healthy ones) start one day at a time. Welcome to the avocado fan club.
DeleteHola,
ReplyDeleteI also have started to eat avocados with just about everything and they are wonderful. They cool the inside of your stomach, and they are good for your body. thanks Ms. Cookie for your blog.
Did you know that avocados are also a great source for good looking skin? Try this: http://www.ehow.com/how_2099410_make-avocado-face-mask.html
DeleteGreat job Cookie! Thanks for sharing. I personally do not eat avocados but I take the stairs not the elevator. Does that count? ;D
ReplyDeleteSure, anything that helps your cardio-vascular system benefits your health.
DeleteWhat works for me is self control!! Thanks so much for the tips and encouragement! That is how the cookie crumbles ;-)
ReplyDeleteI personally love avocado! What also works for me is to drink water! It cleans your body and keeps you alert!
ReplyDeleteThe nutritional value of Avocados is great, but it’s the taste that keeps me coming back for more. Avocados provide nearly 20 essential nutrients, including fiber, potassium, Vitamin E, B-vitamins and folic acid. They also act as a "nutrient booster" by enabling the body to absorb more fat-soluble nutrients, such as alpha and beta-carotene and lutein, in foods that are eaten with the fruit.
